Robert Buganza – Professor of Production and Post-Production
Robert Buganza is the owner of flami.tv, an international consulting agency for on-air branding and strategy. Presently, he is advising news agencies in Europe on effective uses of social media, and teaching graduate classes on digital journalism, design, and animation in Rome, Italy.
From 2004-2012, he was the Creative Director for SKY Tg24, Italy’s most respected all-news channel. A veteran of live television, he covered major events for Tg24 (including 8 elections), and was instrumental in the channel’s successful launch as a mobile application on iPad and iPhone. Tg24 received the coveted “Oscar della TV”, Italy’s highest honor for journalistic excellence, twice during his tenure. In 2010, Buganza chaired “The Future of Broadcast News” at the Promax/BDA Conference in Lisbon, Portugal.
Previously, Buganza owned design agencies Noise LLC and RBP Inc. in New York, creating work for Microsoft, Discovery Channel, Sony Pictures, and Viacom. He is a member of the Art Director’s Club, AIGA, National Press Photographers Association, Promax/BDA, and the ICDL (The Interdisciplinary Council on Developmental and Learning Disorders).
He served on the Promax/BDA Europe Advisory Council in 2010, 2011, also acting as a judge, and as of 2012 is a mentor in the IVY Executive Network.
