DIRECTING ACTORS FOR FILM

Students learn methods of script analysis, the “detective work” in analyzing a script or scene, allowing them to understand the importance of a personal interpretation of the material; how to prepare to rehearse with actors and make creative choices in staging and shooting, and how to get great performances from actors. The class makes use of exercises and direct hands-on work directing scenes. Students will act in each other’s exercises, to experience work on both sides of the camera.
Requirements: Students should own their own laptop computer.

Gli studenti imparano i metodi dell’analisi del copione, il “lavoro da investigatore” nell’analizzare un copione o una scena, in modo da comprendere l’importanza di un’interpretazione personale del materiale; come prepararsi a provare con gli attori e ad effettuare scelte creative nella preparazione e nel girare, e come ottenere performance eccellenti dagli attori. La classe utilizza esercizi e lavoro diretto nella direzione delle scene. Gli studenti reciteranno negli esercizi reciprocamente, per sperimentare il lavoro da entrambi i lati della camera da presa.
Requisiti: gli studenti devono portare il proprio computer portatile.
